LYNN BERGMAN: NOVEMBER 3, 2026 PRESIDENTIAL “HALFTIME” ELECTION
2026 Election Shall Decide Second Half of Trump Presidency
I use “Halftime”, a sports reference, to both explain and accentuate the gravity of this fall’s election.
The Trump voter turnout this fall MUST be larger than the Presidential election of 2024. It MUST once again be Too Big to Rig. It must include the same coalition of Conservative Republicans, Independents, Democrats, Green Party, and Libertarians that elected Donald J. Trump to a second term of 4 YEARS, not 2 years. It must include all voters who were eligible citizens and who voted for President Trump in 2024. Citizens only should decide elections that affect the selection of a President. And, in this patriotic 250th celebration year, it should also include many of those who voted for Kamala Harris (Democrat), Jill Stein (Green), or Chase Oliver (Libertarian).
Though President Trump’s name is not on the 2026 ballot, his ability to fulfill his promises for his last two years in office is threatened by both those who voted against him in 2024 and by those who choose not to vote in 2026. It is the disgruntled voters of the parties that lost the previous presidential election that are motivated by revenge, hardly a noble reason for voting.
It is the smug and complacent voters, whose candidate won the previous presidential election, that choose not to vote in the mid-terms. They are, perhaps, the most responsible for the history of mid-term election losses by the party of the President.
But the War, my God, the War with Iran!
Imagine you are a patriotic Japanese citizen in either Hiroshima or Nagasaki when the bombs were dropped. Only this time you live in New York, California, Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Massachusetts where 80% of the Jewish population of the United States of America is concentrated. These states would have been targeted by Iran after the Ayatollah had wiped Israel off the planet during previous minutes. The possibility of such a scenario was unacceptable to all of our Presidents since Israel was restored following World War II, but each of them did nothing because the threat was not immediate. President Trump was the first to be confronted with the possibility of Iran possessing nuclear weapons, possibly or probably ten of them, and the capacity to deliver them to our shores. The nine that would have remained after destroying Tel Aviv may have been delivered to New York City/Newark, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Jacksonville (Florida), Miami, Tampa, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Boston. This was not a threat from a country that understands the concept of mutually-assured destruction; “Twelver Shiism” is the official state religion of Iran since 1501 (except for a brief hiatus in the mid-18th century). 95% of today’s 80 million Iranians are professing Twelvers. The religious leadership of Iran has a decided “martyr complex” that assures their place in the afterlife if they die in the process of killing infidels. These religious zealots have been promising “Death to Israel” and “Death to America”, during the 47 years since they replaced the hereditary leadership of Iran in 1979. President Trump is not easily frightened… “Fight, Fight Fight!” We should be capable of imagining his feelings of responsibility for the survival of America that resulted is his “Taking it to the Mullahs” on February 28th, 2026 with “Operation Epic fury”.
But the Gas Prices!
1% of the fossil fuel used in the United States of America has its origin in the middle east. We are, for all practical purposes, a net “fossil fuel exporter”. We are self-sufficient in fossil fuels. But it has not always been so. We need only go back to the first day of the Biden administration when he cancelled the Keystone XL pipeline. The “climate change” religion has placed Europe in a terrible situation where, in a region with sparse air-conditioning, the people suffer as their governments attempt to replace fossil fuels without regard for human life. If fossil fuels are to be someday replaced, it will be through market-driven actions by individuals, not the “central planning” of socialists.
Aren’t fossil fuels globally priced?
That has been the case up until the last decade or so, when Republican leaders finally sought energy independence. We are very newly energy independent and the fossil fuel marketers would very much like to continue convincing us that fossil fuels are a worldwide market. We know better! West Texas Intermediate crude has slowly been approaching the price of Brent crude… and North American fossil fuels will likewise be priced by regional markets. Because the fossil fuel industry in North America would like to continue to fleece its customers by claiming a “worldwide marketplace” for crude oil, we must resist by complaining first and then choosing to ride a bike or drive electric autos and trucks. The marketers that are fleecing us now will pay later unless they drop prices below $3 sooner than later. Markets work when you act responsibly.
But can’t we make Socialism work?
USSR, North Korea, Eastern Europe before the Wall came down, most countries in South and Central America, Cuba, numerous African countries, and most recently, Chavez and Maduro’s Venezuela. Now Brazil.
In how many countries must socialism fail miserably for their people?
But isn’t the planet burning?
Carbon Dioxide in the air is converted to oxygen by plants. Greenhouses use pressurized carbon dioxide to enhance plant growth in their greenhouses. Humans and animals breath in Oxygen (and Nitrogen) and exhale carbon dioxide. The concentration of carbon dioxide in the air will hopefully double in the future to sustain the plant life necessary for human population to peak at about ten billion by the end of this century. Our Sun is our most important natural source of energy. At times, the natural cycles of nature change, largely related to our precious Sun. Narcissist politicians and their inexplainable (perhaps atheist) belief than man can significantly affect nature are responsible for the paranoia that has global leaders seeking election through fear tactics.
Bottom Line – Vote for Trump… again… this fall! Give him the House and Senate for another two years to complete repairing the mess created by his predecessors. And be thankful that you do not have nuclear fallout on your breakfast cereal.
