SALLY MORRIS: HEAR NO EVIL, SEE NO EVIL, SPEAK NO EVIL

In the aftermath of the carnage at the county agency in San Bernardino, we are learning several things - among them, that the young “Middle Eastern” couple who committed the holiday massacre had been observed working late into the night in their garage, receiving a rash of packages and deliveries just prior to their attack on their fellow workers. This intelligence comes from a neighbor.  Had this neighbor come forward and reported suspicious activities (especially in the wake of the Paris massacres) perhaps, just maybe, 14 Americans would be alive and celebrating the holidays withtheir families.  Some 17 or more would still be healthy and uninjured.  Instead the neighbor waited silently as the deadly plot went forward.

Now, it would be easy to condemn the neighbor, and some already have.  But think about this: what happened when the notorious “Clockboy” was subjected to investigation for bringing a ticking suitcase to a classroom? Mayhem, and not at the hands of the clever lad, but at the hands of the Thought Police.  You see, we are not allowed to act in self-protection or to protect others (such as innocent schoolchildren) when it comes to anyone with a Muslim name.  When we take precautions in those cases we are found guilty of “profiling” or “Islamophobia” and we are labled “xenophobes” and “bigots” and even, inappropriately, “racists”.  The President, himself, no less, invites the “victim” of our caution to the white House the the kid becomes a celebrity and goes off on a scholarship awarded for his devotion to ticking clocks and Islam, while school officials, who had reasonable fear, are excoriated.

So now comes the attack in San Bernardino.  For weeks neighbors noted the constant arrival of mysterious packages and work going on at all hours in the garage of the Farooks.  But because they were Muslim and foreign, the neighbors declined to report these concerns.  Had they acted honestly on their suspicions that all was not what it should be the attack might have been thwarted (although with the hesitation on the part of authorities to act it might have been futile anyway).  So why not just speak up?

Well, remember Clockboy.  And remember what happened to the community and the school district (refresher:  they have been sued for $15 million).  And think about what happened to Congressman Michele Bachmann when she raised her concerns about the Muslim Brotherhood and its infiltration of our overnment, about Huma Abedin’s presence in the hub of or State Department. She was viciously attacked, and not only by the Muslim Brotherhood and the Democrat Party, but by her own party.  The ugliest attacks actually came from John McCain.  Her patriotic and courageously honest inquiry could be said to have effectively destroyed her career.

Now we have U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch (by the way affirmed by Republicans) threatening us to shut up and prosecute us if our worries stray to the menace of ISIS and Islamic terror in America.

Most of us don’t speak up when we see things that are clearly not right because we don’t want to be attacked as Bachmann was, to lose our jobs, to end up on the wrong end of some absurd prosecution because someone’s “feelings” are hurt.  There’s a word - “hurt”!  What cowards these people are!  Everything we say is “hurtful” unless we gush about the joy of multiculturalism.

It is time we close the door on “multiculturalism”.  It cannot work.  We have a culture of our own here.  It needs nurturing to get it back to the state of its health in, say, 1960, of course, but it is worth trying to save.  After all, until the last 30 years or so, it was hugely successful and made America a happy place to live.

We have nothing to learn from an anti-culture, a culture of death, one that straps bombs to its children, uses young boys as “comfort toys”, burns musical instruments in the village square, defaces and destroys thousands of years old archeological treasures, stones rape victims, throws homosexuals off of rooftops, kidnaps young girls, mutilates them, drowns human beings in cages or sets them on fire alive and beheads them.  Islam is all but alone in the modern world for embracing slavery.

What else has this “culture” shown us?  Not much lately, except for some terrorist attacks on our people.  So why not speak up?  Why not throw care to the wind, be “hurtful” and tell others when we sense a threat to our people?  What, after all, is more important - the “hurt feelings” of the like of Tashfeen Malik?  Or sparing the lives and safety of innocent Americans?  Frankly, I couldn’t care less what hurts Tashfeen Malik’s feelings.  Tell Loretta Lynch to stuff it.  Tell Barack Obama to go lay another egg.  Let’s use our First Amendment to save ourselves and defy the Thought Police.  After all, if we don’t use it now, what use can it ever be?
