SALLY MORRIS:  MINNESOTA’S U.S. SENATE CHALLENGER JASON LEWIS TAKES AIM AT CHINA

Jason Lewis is challenging Minnesota Democrat Tina Smith in the U.S. Senate race.  This seems a good time to step back and take a look at the current status of our relationship with China, who China is in that relationship and what is the best course for America to take at this point.

Anyone who follows events in and around China’s government and nation should be aware that none of it is good.  China, as we have observed here recently, is a multi-faceted threat not only to the United States and its neighbors in Asia but to the whole world.

China has pursued an aggressive program they call the “Belt and Road” initiative.  This amounts to a proactive loan shark who goes into struggling and third-world nations and bribes government officials to borrow from them to “build infrastructure”.  This is pretty rich in itself, in view of the fact that nearly everything China builds in terms of physical integrity crumbles if you look too hard at it.  Their 5G towers are one recent example, but we’ve seen walls falling off of newer Chinese buildings and roads collapsing under cars.  Their dams have been imploding, killing thousands of hapless Chinese people all summer.  This is known as “tofu” construction.  Suffice it to say, the Chinese should not be the go-to for infrastructure.  Nevertheless, they seem to have little difficulty roping in the petty dictators and “leaders” of these impoverished nations.  Then the corruption and scamming goes into third gear as the little dictators commit their people and nations to debt to China.  China builds their crumbling, low-quality “infrastructure” of roads, utilities, electronics networks and with every dollar spent takes over a piece of the nation.  One reason they like to install their 5G equipment and facilities is because their long-range game plan is to take over and control all the nations of the world.  They don’t want to do this half-way.  They want the shock collar of social credit scoring on every human on Planet Earth.  To do this they will need those 5G towers.  They are not building them safely or well, but who cares?  So day by day, hectare by hectare, they are acquiring the planet for themselves through foreclosure, in effect.  Oh, and by the way, the energy plants China is constructing are along the lines of what they use in China - toxic waste producing smoke stacks.  The air in China is so thick with pollution that one can barely see.  That nation is doing more harm to the planet's air quality and climate than any other on earth and this is what they are exporting to poor, third-world nations around the globe.

Then, in the developed nations they plant their “researchers” as though they were visiting scholars and scientists.  They insinuate them into our educational, government and business systems.  They steal technology.  How?  By convincing every one of them clearly that they remain citizens of China and beholden to the Chinese Communist government and, by the way, they have vulnerable family, so they don’t get ideas.  This is a two-pronged assault because even as they are stealing our research and technology at the cost of national security in many cases, they are also using their presence here to indoctrinate American school children and college students through their “cultural exchange” programs and Confucius Institutes.  They beguile many here with this generous “sharing” of their “superior” culture and ingratiate many even as they run back to China with their ill-gotten goods.

Our Wall Street Republicans love the relationship we have allowed to flourish with China because it shrinks our workforce and thus our costs to certain industries.  On the minus side, this means a huge loss of employment for many previously working Americans while it creates a dependence on the slave labor of minorities and political prisoners in China - a really morally healthy situation.  Mark Cuban endorses use of slave labor of persecuted minorities and others in China - hey, it works for him!  And what’s good for Mark Cuban must be good for the USA.  But it’s not.  It is dragging our country to the moral level of slaveholders, but with an ironic twist - China sees us as its future slaves.

The “pandemic” has put the spotlight on our growing dependence on a malevolent and aggressive foreign power for our vital necessities - such as medical supplies and drugs.  If it weren’t so immoral and so disgusting, it would almost be funny.  During the onset of the sickness, when it was more or less restricted to China and the people of that nation were suffering, as a humanitarian gesture, the U.S. shipped them the recently developed drug Remdesivir.  The Chinese government tried it on some of their sick patients.  It helped.  Instead of thanking their benefactors for humanitarian relief, this government stole it and patented it.  That sort of sums up China’s view of its relationship with the West.

The control exerted by the Chinese government over our media and our entertainment industry is legend.  Every Hollywood studio wants to sell tickets in China.  China won’t allow anything to be screened in China if it violates their draconian law (don’t look for the First Amendment in China).  So this has come to mean that China has the ability to censor what we see in America.  So not only do they infiltrate our schools and corrupt our colleges (stop and think about this - our colleges are not allowing criticism of China because they don’t want to lose the infusion of Chinese money and other “benefits” (such as lavish travel packages and privileges for cooperative faculty), but even on our own time our entertainment is created to serve Chinese government objectives.  There has been occasional blow-back as witnessed by the recent flap about Disney’s live version remake of “Mulan” which starred a communist toadie and was shot in an area known for Uighur “internment camps” - places where Uighars toil as slaves until their numbers are called up to “donate” their vital organs.  Americans who saw the acknowledgement and thanks offered to these camps were quite rightly put off and many have called for a boycott of the movie - but this is one movie.  All movies being made commercially here now are subject to not American law but Chinese law.  Interesting.  The involvement of the CCP in our professional sports is becoming apparent.  Time for them to tank as well.

Oh . . . and China has little in the way of safety precautions for their research facilities.  After all, losing a few million Chinese people is a small price, as they see it, for “progress”, which is why they are inoculating young Chinese with untested and dangerous “vaccines” in their effort to reach some finish line ahead of the U.S. and other western nations with the magic bullet.  It is also how their virus managed to escape a lab (unless it was by design after all) and infect an entire planet, and in the process shut down the world’s economies.  That’s been a treat.  Unfortunately, irresponsible research scientists who chafe against restrictions and would like to use the world and its people as their lab and experimental lab rats are drawn to working in China and under their lax protocols and investing in labs unfettered by safety concerns and regulations.  And then, of course, the result is exported without remorse.  Over a million people flew overseas from Wuhan during their own lockdown last winter.  Their government knew what they were doing.

If this were not enough, we now have evidence of the CCP’s dire  ct involvement in the rioting that has been wracking our cities this summer, resulting in death and destruction.  It seems that the only crime this government of China has not engaged in would be the crime it hasn’t thought of yet.  Present-day China is perhaps one of the most toxic regimes in world history.  Not only has it physically and abstractly destroyed the thousands-of-years of ancient Chinese culture, but seeks to undermine and destroy the cultures of the entire world so as to replace them with the supreme authority of the CCP.

As we can see with our own eyes, the CCP is gradually substituting its laws for our own.  Our nation is coming under the control of the CCP.  It is becoming their law, not our First Amendment, that is governing American entertainment outlets, for example.  This will not remain confined to one very influential aspect of our public life, obviously.  Through their many programs with which they create American dependence, they are stripping us of our heritage of freedom and our Constitutional rights.  Our movie industry is not free, governed by our laws, but by China’s.  Our newspapers carry very lucrative CCP “news” sections which are nothing but Chinese propaganda and have become beholden as their own finances have dwindled - any port in a storm.  Our college professors think they need the approval and endorsemement of their Chinese mentors and if that means stifling criticism by students or others, so be it.  Stifling must be done.  We don’t need an army to march in in uniforms, we are being defeated by our own sloth and greed.  China just smiles and mocks us.

Jason Lewis has taken aim at this abuse and is calling for America to cut its ties with the evil empire of our own time - China - and call them out for their criminal behavior and takes his opponent, Tina Smith, to task for accepting support from China-tied PACs while keeping the Iron Range locked down.  He’s got a very good point.

Please read his concise article and if you vote in MInnesota, get out there and vote to replace Tina Smith with Jason Lewis!  It’s time we woke up from a very bad dream and came to our senses.  Joe Biden has famously said, "a risng China is good for everyone" - it has certainly filled his family's coffers - but our experience shows that a rising China is a danger to everyone.
