SALLY MORRIS: THE OBVIOUS NEED FOR FEDERAL ELECTION LAW REFORM
It should surprise no one. We are in a lot of trouble. Our republic is under immediate threat. The bedrock of a free republic is a safe and sound and trusted election. When that comes into question we risk a total subversion of our government. This was almost guaranteed this year. Trump and others raised the alarm about the opportunistic “mail-in” voting which relied on the phony epidemic (and I use the term, “phony”, advisedly). We could all see this coming - or at least those of us blessed with at least 100 IQs.
There have been a number of oblique polls recently which should serve to give us a reading on public sentiment on the eve of election. 1. Gun sales soared after the violent events in the streets of our cities this summer. Gun sales, averaging 13.9 million in 2019, are expected to reach 22 million for 2020 by year’s end. No one who just invested in a gun and ammunition and in all likelihood, training, is going to go to the polls to elect someone whose program includes gun-grabbing. Can we really believe that a majority of voters in Arizona voted for this? Can we believe that people across the nation, who are arming themselves because police are being defunded and, in some cases, disbanded altogether, as our cities are openly attacked by BLM and Antifa would vote Democrat? 2. People have been clamoring to re-open businesses and schools, etc., and have held “unauthorized” demonstrations to make their opinion of shutdowns known. Biden’s peddling of a “dark winter” and promises of shutting down on the word of even one “doctor” can hardly have inspired someone to stand in line (six-feet apart and in a mask) to cast a vote for more of that. 3. A recent poll showed strong and growing support for confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. This included approximately 27% of Democrats and 38% of Independents. It would not make any sense for these people to vote for representatives of the party that wanted to leave the seat empty until Joe Biden were elected - and Biden has refused to name any prospective candidates for the Court.
Then you can look at the “enthusiasm” factor. You cannot have failed to notice that Trump was traveling from coast to coast - one day in Arizona, the next in Manchester, NH. From Minnesota’s attempted shutdown (a real embarrassment for Minnesotans), where he drew 250 “authorized” attendees and another 25,000 outside the gates, to a monster rally in Butler, PA, where there were nearly 60,000, from Omaha to Bucks County, PA, and Green Bay to Miami, he consistently drew excited crowds - who waited in the snow and rain, in the hot sun, on airport tarmac - and the dismal, funereal “events” hosted by a senile Joe Biden. Even Kamala was caught on mic and camera asking her handlers where she was (“Are we in Cleveland? HELLO, CLEVELAND!”). Would a sane and intelligent person expect Biden wins in these places? We are expected to.
If this were not enough, the press was caught out trying to cover for a scandal of the most serious kind with Biden’s entire family, including himself. This should be earth-shattering. The son of a sitting American Vice President was found to be colluding with him to subvert the justice system of at least one foreign nation in exchange for loan guarantees, selling manufacturers of equipment with national security implications to our Number One Enemy and the greatest threat to the rest of the world - China. If that were not enough, the man was so compromised by his own degenerate lifestyle, captured on video, and the evidence so incontrovertible, that he would be a national security risk in that alone. And the American press colluded to cover it up at the time when people were voting.
The irregularities in voting are incredible. Nevada suddenly suspends vote counting (under a Democrat governor) as the state was going first one way and then the other, as the two appeared very close. No more counting or results until Thursday. I guess now we know how long it takes to manufacture and present ballots. We should examine what percentage of ballots counted after this point are supposed to have been cast for Biden.
Pennsylvania, long considered a pivotal state, began by barring poll watchers. Not a good start. Now they say they will be counting “for a few more days”. There is an apparent discrepancy between the number of voters left and the number of ballots they say must be counted. There are fewer voters whose votes are as yet uncounted than ballots waiting to be counted. These are unlikely to be Trump ballots.
Voters in Arizona reported that when filling out their ballots they were required to use sharpie pens. Other pens were at hand but when voters attempted to use them to fill in the blanks, they were taken away. Oh, by the way - the machines do not read sharpie marks. Any questions?
If this weren’t enough, some states are permitting ballots to come in for several more days regardless of postmark, and some are not verifying
This list could go on. But maybe you remember Biden’s charateristically stupid comment about the Democrats having created the “best and most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in American history”. Maybe you have not heard of the “Hammer”.
There is no question that our elections are under attack by the Democrat Party and in collusion with their “Frei” army. The street violence, while incentivising a vote against Democrats, also intimidates. And, what the hell, if the voters don’t give them what they want, just use the ol’ hammer. As of this moment we do not know what will happen or how it will happen. We can see, however, that the will of the people is being ignored and run over by those with the muscle and the positioning to do it.
If, by some miracle, Trump emerges the winner - with or without Biden’s mumbling concession - his first priority must be election reform. If we survive this we must never go through it again - when the people no longer are able to have confidence in our elections then our republic is over. We need to change our election laws. The states may continue to handle their own state elections - for governors, state offices, sometimes judges, state legislatures, etc. - but they cannot be trusted with federal elections - congressmen, senators and presidents. These need to be run under a uniform system. It is insane to leave the manner of voting to 50 states and the whim of often dishonest and manipulative state governors (who are probably under intense pressure to deliver to Democrats). You might stop me here and say, “it’s not just Democrats - that’s not fair! You don’t know that!” Right you are. Let’s just keep everyone honest.
We need to keep the electoral college because this protects the nation from splitting apart along “urban” and “rural” lines. Even with the electoral college system we still have huge and heavy influence on our federal leadership from states like California and Texas. We need to ensure that our elections matter to all of us and we all have some say. What we must do is establish the mechanics of our elections - timing, protocols for processing votes, for counting them - mechanics which no state official may override. The election process is absolutely sacred to our republic. No “epidemic”, no street warfare, no weather event, may be allowed to disturb it. We have sound options for those who cannot go to the polls in person. A voter may simply phone his county clerk and ask that an application be sent him for absentee voting. An application form is sent, requiring adequate verification of identity. It is returned. The ballot itself is then issued. The voter fills it out and mails it back in. It is counted. Period. We do not need mass mailing out of applications or ballots from a central government agency. That was never necessary. We have always had provision for those who needed to vote absentee. This was entirely fabricated under cover of “COVID” to defraud the people. And a lot of them fell for it, hook, line and sinker. Now we can see the result.
It’s not like we didn’t have warning. I’m not the brightest bulb maybe, but I could see it. Trump could see this coming. Many others saw it. Those who were consumed with fear of catching a virus readily accepted this even though they already had a system in place that protected them. Too many refused to see the wolf’s whiskers poking out from the sheep’s clothing. We need to enact; some kind of law to prevent wholesale vote marketing and harvesting. James O’Keefe has shown us how this has been working in my “battleground” state of Minnesota. Isn’t it a little difficult to believe that people who have watched their businesses burned to the ground and their public memorials defaced and destroyed by violent mobs under the auspices of a Democrat governor- Tim Walz - and an immature “boy mayor”, Jacob Frey - are desirous of seating another Democrat in the White House along with his “running mate” (who is understood universally to be in charge, not Biden), a woman who has said the rioting “will” and “should” continue. People can be stupid, but it is difficult to believe there are enough of them that stupid.
It is clear that the Democrats are trying desperately to steal this election. That is the only way they could get it because they nominated a senile old man who has no idea what office he is running for and his running mate, who was the most unpopular Democrat running (she dropped out before the first primary). How would they expect to win this honestly? We need to fix this and not wait until we fix other things. This needs to be the priority. No matter whether we make deals with other nations, no matter whether we need to deal with China, no matter what the state of our economy, no matter what the state of COVID. First thing next week, provided Trump manages to stop this fraud, he must take action to prevent this ever happening again and put teeth into it. As it is, we need to incarcerate the people who work at the polls who are part of the process of fraud. The person who takes the normal pen from someone and insists they fill out a ballot with a sharpie that can’t be scanned, the state attorney general who did what Pennsylvania’s did - direct voters to the Democrat Party for assistance in voting - need to serve time for this and be banned from government employment or public office ever again. This should include the temp who is working at the polls and the candidate for president alike. Fraud cannot be tolerated in the elections of a free republic. To do so would be to bring its representative government to an end.
