Five Life bills to be heard in committee

HB 1456, the Heartbeat bill, a bill that will prohibit abortions when the heartbeat of the unborn can be detected--will be heard on Wednesday at 11am.
In addition, SCR 4009, SB 2302, SB 2303, and SB 2305--all will be heard on Tuesday.  These are all very important life bills including a constitutional measure to protect human life (SCR 4009).

Church Property Tax Bill & Sunday Closing

HB 1300, a bill dealing with how churches are affected by property tax will be heard on Monday at 10:15.  HB 1437, a bill to allow local political subdivisions to remove restrictions on Sunday opening limitations will be heard on Wednesday at 2pm.

Bill summary: this bill would provide the necessary enabling legislation to be in place if SCR 4009 was passed by a vote of the people.

Bill summary: this bill provides a definition of a human being and addresses century code language dealing with in vitro fertilization.

Relating to limitations on physicians and abortion facilities.
Bill summary: this bill will require licensed physicians performing an abortion to have admitting and staffing privileges at a local hospital.

Relating to limitations on abortion after determination of detectable heartbeat in an unborn child and to grounds for disciplinary action for physicians; and to provide a penalty.  
Bill summary: this bill would prohibit an abortion if a detectable heartbeat was present in the unborn child.
